About Jeremy Doss.

Hello, my name is Jeremy Doss and I would like talk about myself for a brief moment. This website is a collection of some of my accomplishments, works in progress, experiments, and other miscellaneous odds and ends to which I am exhibiting for your perusement. As you can see, I think of myself as an artist, and am currently attempting to graduate from the Art Institute of Chicago studying Film and Video, yet I was born into the construction trades, and have spent the greater part of my adult life building large complex machines. I am a Millwright by training, yet I am an artist at heart. I am currently seeking to move from the Construction World to the digital realm of our modern day Media World. This is a path I set myself out on four years ago when I left my position as Installation Manager for a small office of a large corporation which built conveyors to accomplish my lifelong goal of graduating from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I am getting very near to the accomplishment of this goal with only twenty one more semester hours necessary to earn my degree. My next goal is to find myself a job within Media World, specifically in the realm of Advertising. In fact, the reason in my creating this website is in order to find myself an internship, or several, within this field with the ultimate goal in being either an Art Director or Writer. I had the opportunity to work in this field when I was in my early twenties when I worked for Goodby, Silverstein and Partners in San Francisco for two years in their Mailroom. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life and it was due to this experience that I endeavored to take this journey of mine.

Once again, I am looking now for an internship for the Fall semester of 2010. I am aiming for either a large, corporate agency; or a small boutique shop. As an intern, I bring many things to the table. I am 100% reliable and able. I understand deadlines and hard work. These qualities I bring from my experience in managing construction sites and processes. I also bring to the table an understanding of the ever changing world of digital technologies. I have spent the time necessary to learn many of the programs necessary to bring ideas to life; i.e Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, and DVD authoring programs, with the fact that I know that it takes constant effort to maintain that knowledge. But more than any other factor, I would say that it is my creativity and sense of humor and my ever thirsty mind which make me stand out in the crowd. I am never "Usual." I have never been one to be ignored. I am a risk taker and have a fearlessness that amazes myself all the time. I believe that I can accomplish anything. I hope you enjoy my work.
